Projects

SMa projects are the result of collaboration. Typically, a healthcare provider requests assistance in meeting a need at a particular locale involving one or more clinical disciplines. An SMa professional is assigned to investigate options and propose an approach. If the approach is deemed sound by the SMa Steering Group, SMa works to set a plan and seek funding.

Southern Medical Alliance is catalyst for new telemedicine projects in Surrey

In 1998, the NHS in West Surrey needed a radical agenda. NHS spending substantially exceeded income and the Health Authority was attempting to reduce costs by £20 million annually --at the same time seeking to improve access to care. "More of the same" was clearly not the answer.
